The Midwest is filled with so many amazing wedding and reception venues, we’ve decided to make best of lists by major cities starting with St Louis, MO. This list is the top ten wedding venues in St Louis and its surrounding areas. Not only do the venues each hold their own personal charm, but their owners will go above and beyond to meet your wedding day wants and needs.
We love weddings and really love the new families created from two people in love. Interested in maternity, newborn, or family photography, use the link below.
A short 43 mile drive from St Louis, Mo sits this stunning contemporary farm and faux greenhouse located on a 2 acre lake in Pocahontas, IL. This venue is so much more than just a boho bride’s dream. The venue is nestled on 10 acres, making it an endless resource for stunning views. The interior of the farm house is accented with a beautiful brick wall perfect for a head table backdrop, as well as, a large greenery wall for your custom neon signs. To ensure all couples and guests are given an extra piece of mind, 10 minutes away is a newly renovated 1800’s museum that has been transformed into an incredible place to stay. If you are ever concerned about the commute to your lodging or that adorable museum, Loveland estates owns a shuttle bus to bring couples and guests to their nearby lodgings.
Heather has poured her heart and soul into this venue and nothing has been overlooked. What makes this venue even better is Heather provides the option for fresh floral and décor services. She aims to make all of your Pinterest inspirations come to life at Loveland Estates.
You’ll find this gem in the St Louis’s Shaw neighborhood. Built for the artistic and unique, this venue offers a variety of features including a custom bar, brick walls, industrial ceiling, glass garage doors, multiple lounge spaces, and a loft space. The plaster formally covering the brick wall has been given a new artistic life with subtle works of art adorning them. The outdoor space is an oasis tucked within city limits. With room enough for 300 people, this space is ideal for an outdoor ceremony or keeping the party going in the fresh air.
The team owning and operating the Wild Carrot has worked many long hours to revive the Shaw Theatre into something incredible. Head over to their website and be sure to watch the video on their homepage. You’ll not only witness all the work they have done to create your perfect space, but you’ll instantly fall in love with the people making these visions into reality. You won’t find a poor review and most importantly, you’ll see excellent customer service and professionalism in their responses.
Located in Pacific, MO, this venue is one you don’t want to pass up. A stunning indoor/outdoor venue on a 246 acre cattle farm. The 7,000 square foot structure was built in the 1800’s and has stayed in the family for years. The building boasts high ceilings and the ability to open several glass garage doors to the outdoor patio. The owners have pulled out all the stops for this Haue Valley venue. Not only is the venue spectacular, but you have the ability to use any of their more than 3,000 décor pieces AND it’s included in the rental price. From elegant to rustic to boho to modern anything goes at this amazing facility.
If you are looking for a venue in St Louis that is indoors and offers an abundance of natural light, look no further. The Lumen was previously a Studebaker-Packard car showroom, so the windows are huge and the space is open! It has a very modern and elegant look, so it can easily fit any décor theme. Sheer curtains cover the windows to let in ample light and to give your wedding some privacy from the street. They also offer a mezzanine that can host up to a 100 guest ceremony.
This venue is so incredible and the minimalist-modern style it embodies can be easily transformed into the wedding of your dreams.
A hobby farm turned into something so much more! Mike and Karen Koehneman have a big heart for family and community. They purchased this property originally for Karen to expand upon her agriculture dreams. Like most wedding venue stories begin, brides-to-be were drawn to the beautiful property and it wasn’t long before they were hosting weddings. Since their beginning, they have come a long way. The farm now features a greenhouse, a multifunctional farmhouse, bridal suites, quarry bonfire area, and a produce garden that supplies organic produce to the St Louis area.
The real selling point though is the excellent customer service and the two staff dogs; Scout, Queen of Misbehavior and Arya, Queen of Sass.

This one may have originally caught my attention because of my childhood love of The Saddle Club book series. However, this venue deserves far more than just recognition for the nostalgia inspiring title. Very few words can describe the sheer beauty of this stunning venue. On first impression, you will see a magnificent white barn structure that appears to be 3 stories tall and is nestled at the bottom of a small forested hill. The interior, however, is what truly defines the venue. An elegant, yet simple design with high gambrel roof with large wooden beams. The design allows for whatever theme or style you prefer, but is utterly perfect as is. With 285 acres and a mix of timber forests and vast farmlands, there’s no shortage of outstanding views.
Heather and Craig planned this Eureka, MO venue to be a mix of countryside and contemporary and they have done just that. This is truly a venue for those who love the elegance of simplicity.
You probably don’t walk into Kroger thinking this will be our wedding venue, but you may walk into The Dogwood and think wow this use to be Kroger. The 1941 grocery store was given an incredible facelift, inside and out. The original bricks were taken down, restored, and carefully put back back up onto the storefront. The stunning doors were shipped in from New Orleans and made of a sturdy cypress wood. A second story was added to the building giving rise to the spectacular staircase that immediately catches your eye when you walk in through that beautiful cypress door. No expense was spared and no design element wasn’t thought through. The gold accents on the marble bar tie into the gold accent on the magnificent staircase. The light colored walls help to make the custom bar and staircase stand out even more so.
Just when the 1st level sounds like a moody elegant dream, you realize there is an entire additional floor to be explored. Contrary to the first floor, this floors adorns a light and airy feel. Large glass doors allow the room to be graced by an abundance of natural light. White walls then allow that same natural light to expose all the beauty of the room. The glass doors open to a 640 sq ft terrace with glass sheet railings to ensure the best possible view of a stunning St Louis sunset before you dance the night away.
Did you know France stretched into Missouri? Okay, maybe it doesn’t, but you would never realize it looking at this amazing chateau. Say salut to this sought after venue. Owned by Ron and Sandi Tate, they have thought through every element of the venue. Silver Oaks Chateau offers not 1, not 2, not 3, but EIGHT different ceremony location options. Half of which are located outdoors and the other half indoors, leaving you with a piece of mind knowing you won’t have to worry about a rain day. No matter where you venture to on this 28 acre property, you will not be disappointed. The main building has extensive brick work on the exterior and interior walls. The wagon wheel chandeliers hanging on the great room’s high ceilings continue to contribute to the French inspired design. The outdoor areas add to the beauty and elegance of this unparalleled venue. The stunning patio features a freestanding stone fireplace and is adorned with bistro lights above to add to the romance of the day. Nearby you’ll find the meadow and forest ceremony areas. For the more adventurous couples wanting a very intimate wedding experience, you have the option to utilize the pond ceremony area, which is surrounded by tall tress and enhanced with a charming wooden bridge.
This truly is a diamond in the rough within the Midwestern states.
The perfect venue to catch an amazing sunset after one the best days of your life. Sweet Clover Farms is a family owned and ran venue that doubles as a working black angus cattle farm. The wide open fields give way to some of the most stunning views you will ever experience. This venue is the epitome of a barn wedding in the best way possible. A classic red barn sits elegantly on the property and gives it all the charm one would hope for when requesting a barn wedding. Next door to that red barn, you’ll find a much newer temperature controlled structure, perfect for a dinner and reception. It’s high ceiling and mason jar chandelier lighting create a rustic, yet formal design. Sweet Clover Farms understands the brides needs on a far greater level than just the design of the ceremony and reception spaces. The bridal suite is one that is difficult to compare with any other. It offers an abundance of space for a bride and whomever she desires with her in those special moments.
This family strives to give couples everything they could hope for. They truly have fallen in love their role in the wedding industry and it is apparent in everything they do.
Each of these are not only stunning in their own unique way, but they also have an unparalleled level of customer service. They have been ranked the top ten due to their appearance, their proximity to St Louis, MO, and their devotion to the couples they serve. Please reach out if you have any questions. I am always happy to help and to share my resources.
Happy Planning!
With Love!

I am always gawking at the sheer beauty of your venue when I drive into Cottleville. I will send you an e-mail and set up a time to visit and meet you. I live in the town next door and have been talking to my husband about visiting you all for a few months now.
